The Garden of Lights: Christmas, Jozi-style

This past weekend, we made a trip to Emperors Palace in Kempton Park to see the Garden of Lights. The queue was insane – we probably spent almost an hour and a half waiting to get in, but it wasn’t so bad with a hotdog and some mini doughnuts to help pass the time.

Once in, it was an assault of lights in every color and formation. I’m still trying to figure out how a monkey on a drum set and a rooster playing the guitar figure in to Christmas. Also, Cinderella apparently found her way there in her pumpkin carriage and white horses. Whatever, it was pretty and fun and this is how they do in South Africa!

Happy Holidays, everyone!
