Baking with matcha

Finally, finally, I remembered to buy some matcha for baking.

On the menu:

Chocolate Cupcakes with Azuki Filling, from Chockylit

Green Tea Cupcakes, taken from this Pomegranate Green Tea Cupcake recipe, also from Chockylit

Matcha Cream Cheese frosting that I found over on this lovely blog, Une-Deux Senses.

Notes: I added Meyer lemon zest to the frosting, perhaps a bit too much, because it seems to cover up the delicate taste of the matcha, though you can still detect a hint of it.
