The Night Market

Earlier this week, on a whim, I entered to win a pair of tickets to The Night Market, courtesy of McKenzie Mahoney at

Lo and behold, I won! (Thanks @mmmguide!) So I dragged the husband out to 168 Bowery this evening, also known as The Old Bowery Station. We (well, mostly me) stuffed our faces silly.

Here are most of the delicious things we experienced. (Most, not all, because some of the things just went straight into my mouth before I even thought about taking a photo.)

Shrimp and pork dumplings from Nom Wah Tea Parlor, Taiwan Beer
Kimchi hot dog from Asia Dog (kimchi as a topping – why did this never occur to me?!)
Pork belly bun with cucumber and wasabi mayo from Hong Kong Street Cart
Jerk chicken from Spur Tree
Curry flavored popcorn chicken from Taikan Chicken
“Tiger Blood” flavor shaved ice from Imperial Woodpecker Sno-Balls
Earl Grey macaron from Macaron Parlour (the macarons from this place may have been the highlight!)

I am stuffed.
